The creators of the doxing platform, Doxbin, have announced their departure from the project after over five years of operation. Despite facing challenges such as hosting provider bans, law enforcement pressure, and criticism from social justice advocates, they remained committed to their initial goal of publicly shaming individuals who engaged in malicious activities. They emphasized that their operation was within legal boundaries due to flaws in international privacy acts and regulations like GDPR. The creators shared statistics from their five-year tenure, including 110,000 valid pastes, 300,000 paste comments, 180,000 users, 170,000 monthly Google clicks, and 29,000 Telegram subscribers.

In their announcement, they revealed that the ownership of Doxbin would be transferred to a new owner known as 'Operator' or @DrivenTowards. The new owner aims to improve and stabilize the platform by upgrading the server infrastructure and enhancing the site, which currently relies on outdated technology. Existing staff members will have the option to continue their involvement, and additional staff will be recruited as the platform expands. The creators acknowledged that the success of Doxbin depended on the community, including viewers, content creators, and journalists, and invited suggestions and discussions for future improvements. They concluded their announcement with a farewell message.

I bet 3 months before they regret selling the site and purchase it back for 20% of the sale price.

I'm out of the loop, did something happen leading up to this? The new owner of Doxbin doesn't seem to be doing too well.

Why do you mean by Detrace, and what does this have to do with the thread.

They're implying that the site wasn't sold and the previous owners are going under the new alias of the owner.

Months later this is still the case, to my knowledge they have now lost 2 of their PGP private keys/passphrases. LOL.
