When you really think about it, every single place on earth is in the middle of the east from some vantage point. Japan is in the middle and to the east if you view it from Mongolia. And Mongolia itself is in the middle to the east of Kazakhstan... Maybe we aren't living in a simulation, we've all been living in the middle east all this time
