I have heard that Oracle is starting to tell to customers that the breach indeed happened but are trying to minimize the damage by claiming it is old data.

It's mentioned in the Yahoo story @Kalani88 shared.

Oracle told customers that the hackers accessed older Cerner servers, taking data that had not yet been shifted to Oracle’s cloud storage service, according to the notice. “Available evidence suggests the threat actor illegally accessed the environment by using stolen customer credentials,” the company said in the notice. Oracle said it became aware of the breach around Feb. 20.

"Thank you for contacting Oracle Support!
We would want to inform you on the following:
There has been no breach of Oracle Cloud.
The published credentials are not for the Oracle Cloud.
No Oracle Cloud customers experienced a breach or lost any data."

Word for word from an email directly from Oracle about this matter. Hard deny. They must have sent this to so many people.

Oracle themselves through a Service Request, apparently if you are an important client you can have a call with them and they will go over all the details of the breach/compromise whatever they are calling it.

They are being very tricky with the wording and making a clear difference between new and old infrastructure.

No idea why this isn't getting more coverage. Seems like a pretty phat attack.

From what I've heard , Oracle has a strong tendency to threaten with legal action for just about anything since they can afford it. They can't really threaten someone they don't even know so PR calling this breach BS is next best thing so people read a few posts and move on thinking this is either fake or old news.

Which is exactly what I'd want if I was Oracle.
