We need to know what is going on. We need to figure out whats up with this forum. Everyone is tired of FUD shit. Make official, conclusive statements. Show previous messages. I think that communicating through a random ass telegram channel is an awful way to lead a community.
Specifically regarding baphomet, please clarify contradicting statements present on your website. Particularly the following:

What I find interesting is the state the site was opened in. No onion site, broken links (changelog, legal polices, ect). Some bugs are to be expected and it's well done considering the time they had but I wonder what made them open it when they did as opposed to waiting?

You're right for having concerns, what I do find strange however is, once you download a database from the official section, the text file included in the zip file has both the clearnet and onion address for the site. See below:

But if you were to visit that onion address, you would encounter the "Onion Site Not Found" error.
There's a possible explanation for this though, it could that they originally had an onion site up to be used or potentially used for testing, but they have no longer decided to keep it up.

There wasn't some specific event that happened to prompt us to release when we did. I think the staff team was excited to get the forum running after such a long time of waiting so we admittedly rushed it a little bit. That being said, a lot of the issues came up because we are trying to implement as many of the features as the original forum compared to other forums just trying to copy the basic layout. There are lots of plugins, infrastructure, and other code that we are using that tends to have more issues than a default mybb with ripped theme.
I want to make it clear that there will be an onion mirror, and users should still be able to access our forum completely fine from Tor. The DDoS attacks and bug fixes have been our big priority for the moment, so just give us a little time here and all these issues should be resolved and the other requested features will be there.
