Qakbot Malware Platform Taken Down in International Law Enforcement Operation

U.S. authorities announced on August 29 that they had taken down the notorious "Qakbot" malware platform in an international law enforcement operation. Qakbot is a sophisticated malware that is used to steal personal information, install ransomware, and conduct other malicious activities. The operation, which was dubbed "Duck Hunt," involved the FBI as well as France, Germany, the Netherlands, Britain, Romania and Latvia. As part of the operation, authorities seized 52 servers in the U.S. and abroad.
