The torrent magnet worked as expected. I didn't consider these were 50gb compressed files. Very impressive compression. I'm at the point now I tried to import these into a local Splunk instance to search but I came up overestimating Splunk's potential. Trying to 'awk' the files now. I may turn to python.

I've been trying and I can't connect. Downloading directly fails consistently too.

For those wanting to search through it, if I use "findstr" under windows I can search for names or ssn at 1.1 GB/sec so it takes about 10 min to search entire 270+ Gb csv file (on reasonable SSD drive using 10th gen Core I7).
I don't have a compatible linux system setup to test against fgrep. This is not using regular expressions, just a literal string search.

Did you get a notification from a credit monitoring service? Or how do you know your info was in the leak?

If using Windows, searching can be done with Powershell using
Select-String -Path "path to .txt file" -Pattern "string you are looking for"

I recommend using Powershell ISE, it will essentially walk you through all the commands/parameters at your disposal and insert them into Powershell for you.
