So I am 24 years of age and I didn’t grow up watching movies - there was a lot of trauma in my childhood and I spent most of it holed up in my room doing… I can’t remember what. It’s a blur. So I haven’t seen pretty much anything - it gets hard in conversations when people drop references or talk about classic films or films by hugely popular directors like Quentin Tarantino (and no I haven’t watched Pulp Fiction either).

So if you had to list a bunch of films you think everyone should see or just ones you enjoyed - genre doesn’t matter but I am really partial to a psychological thriller, however I will literally watch anything! Turn me into a movie buff! What are your recommendations across the board, from horrors to rom coms to sob stories to classics to cult favourites especially cult favourites!

I'd watch the Alien films, or at least the first couple anyway. In fact any space related films I love them, like Apollo 13.

Honestly i would just recommend you to go to imdb's website and choose some movies from the top 250 list. They are all classic (makes sense cuz those are the top 250 rated movies of all time)
